When the same fault keeps coming back
A lot of buildings are stuck in a cycle: false activations, corroding components, never-ending service bills. The pattern is usually the same. Something fails, a contractor replaces it with the identical part in the identical position, invoices, and leaves. Six months later it fails again.
We do not work that way. If a fault is repeating, our first question is what is causing it, not what to swap out. Sometimes that means a different detector type. Sometimes it means the device is in the wrong place and always was. Sometimes the answer really is “replace it” — but you should know which of those you are paying for.
Just because it has always been that way does not mean it has to stay that way.
A second opinion is a reasonable thing to want
You have a quote to fix something. It looks like a lot. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t — that is genuinely hard to judge from the outside, because you are being asked to price something you cannot assess.
Call us and we will send a technician to look at the actual fault, advise on the best way forward, and give you a second written quote. If the first one was fair, we will say so. That answer costs us a job and buys us a customer who trusts the next thing we say.
What we quote is what we quote
We take a full life-cycle view of the systems we look after, because we would rather hold a building for a decade than win an argument about a variation. What we quote is what we quote — and if something changes, we consult you before it changes, not on the invoice.
No lock-in period on any contract. If the service is good, you will stay.
Failed an inspection?
That is a specific situation with a specific path through it, and there is a time limit attached. Start with failed an inspection.
Common questions
Can you quote against work another company has already quoted?
Yes, and we are happy to. We will send a technician, look at the actual fault, and give you a written quote alongside advice on the best way to proceed. If the original quote turns out to be fair, we will tell you that too.
We keep paying for the same repair. Why?
Because replacing a failed component fixes the symptom and not the cause. If a detector keeps failing in the same position, the question worth asking is what that position is doing to it.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. None of our contracts carry a lock-in period.
